A chapter swaminathan and friends

Swaminathan had an younger brother. He did not like it.He told the pea how his brother was.The pea advice him but still swaminathan did not like his brother.his father did all the help that mother asked.

SWAMI AND FRIENDS

       One Monday morning swaminathan was reluctant to get up to go to school. His father woke him up to go to school. The first period was English his teacher’s name was vedanayagam and he was his class teacher also .                                                                                                             

           He was taking class swaminathan was seeing something outside.The fire-eyed vedanayagam told swaminathan to stand on the bench. Swaminathan was enjoying on the bench. The period was ended . The second period was history. They were eager to know about the history .

           The history period also ended after that scripture period was the last period . In that the teacher’s name was ebenizer he was a Christian he started telling about Christ jesus he also telling wrongly about Hindu Lord Krishna . He told that Jesus would not stole butter in other’s house . Swaminathan‘s blood was boiling swami told that as a Brahmin why Jesus ate fish and other meats ? the teacher got very angry and he pinched the Swaminathan’s ears .That period also over .

          That night Swaminathan told this to his father and his father wrote   a letter to his head master. The next day Swaminathan gave it to his head master his head master called  the teacher Ebenezer.

         The Head master asked him why do you pinch the Swaminathan the head master scolded the teacher. The head master told Swaminathan to go out students of the school gathered him. He told the matter to his friends only.

          The next day a new boy joined his name was Rajam he was a rich boy his father was superintendent of police. I will continue in my next blog.

SWAMI AND THE FRIENDS

                         It was Monday Morning Swaminathan was reluctant to open his eyes.    He was very lazy to awake because in Saturday and Sunday holidays he slept for many more time, so that holidays lazy are disturbing on Monday.

                       

                          He has only 2 hours to do all his homework because he didn’t do his homework. So he awake very fast and do all his homework and went to school. His class teacher name was 

Mr. Vedanayanagam.

                        

                          English the first period passed off quietly. Second they had arithmetic period and returned in role of an arithmetic teacher. The teacher’s voice was beginning to get on his nerves. He felt sleepy.                                                               

                          The teacher called for home work corrections. Swaminathan left his place and placed his notebook on the table. While the teacher was scrutinizing the sums, Swaminathan was gazing on his face.                                                                    

                         

                           Which seems so tame at close quarters .The teachers criticism of Swaminathan was that his eyes were too near each other, that there was more hair on his chin than one saw from the bench and that he was very bad looking .                               

                            He felt a terrible pain in the soft flesh above his left elbow his teacher was pinching him in one hand. The teacher was crossing all the sums .He wrote very poor at the bottom of the page and flung the notebook on  Swaminathan‘s face.                                                                                            

                            He gone back to his seat. The next period was history.  He looked and listened eagerly. That period was taken by D. Pillai who had earned a name in his school for kindness and good humour.                                                                           

                            The scripture period was the last period in the morning. This period was taken by Mr. Ebenezer. He was a Christian. He taught about Jesus. He told Jesus was the very good God.                                                                                       

                            He told Jesus will help all persons. Jesus was not like Lord Krishna. Krishna stole butter from neighbor’s house but Jesus was not. Jesus not danced with girls like Krishna. Jesus is the real God.                                              

                            Swaminathan got angry because he was a Hindu. He like Lord Krishna only. So Swaminathan asked a question that Jesus was the real God means why he was crucified? Mr. Ebenezer told that his stage came to an end. So he was crucified. Swaminathan asked another question. The question was, why Jesus ate flesh like meat, fish etc…The teacher beat swaminathan and said don’t ask like these questions.

Swami and Friends - Assignment

Students - The assignment to read 'Swami and Friends' - the great story by R.K.Narayan was given to you more than a month ago.

I am not seeing any progress in that task.

Look out for the book in old book stores or libraries or new book shops and complete the book at your earliest.

When every one of you have completed the story, we could have a class to discuss the book.

Points to note :

1. Hard words from the book need to be written down in your exercise book with meanings.
2. Sentences using those hard words.
3. Write an essay of about 250 words that depict any part of the story that would have interested you.
